It has been about two and a half months since we launched All World ETFs, and so far it has been very well received. In an attempt to make the site as comprehensive as possible, we are continually making improvements and adding new features. Today, we would like to point out some of this additional functionality that was recently added.
As you are already aware, All World ETFs makes it easy for you to search through various ETFs by ticker symbol. It also allows you to identify which ETFs have exposure to various stocks. But what if you don’t know the ticker symbol? What if you don’t know which stocks it holds? What if the only information available to you is that it is an iShares fund? Or a fund focused in emerging markets? Well, we have your answer. The “Search” function along the top now allows you to search through the exchange traded universe by keyword.
This improved Search tool will look for matches in the funds name, its overview description, and its symbol. So, if you type in “Emerging” you will not only get a list of ETFs with the word “Emerging” in their names, but you will also get hits like the SPDR S&P BRIC 40 [BIK], because it has the word “Emerging” in its investment description.
