iShares S&P MidCap 400 Growth Index Fund seeks investment results that correspond to the performace of those companies with the highest price-to-book ratios within the S&P 400 Index, as represented by the S&P MidCap 400/Citigroup Growth Index. The index measures the performance of the mid-capitalization growth sector of the U.S equity market. It is a subset of the S&P 400 Index and consists of those companies exhibiting the strongest growth characteristics with the S&P 400 index, representing approximately 47% of the market capitalization of the S&P 400 index.
